Currently, his idea of going for a walk consists of numerous stops along the way. Every single yellow stain needs thorough investgating. He must sniff, burrow his nose in it, and dig at it with his paw for several minutes. At every single spot.
There are a lot of yellow spots.
I don’t even bother going to the park anymore with him. Or around the block. By the time I get down to the bottom of the street, which takes me, when I walk by myself without the dog or the kids, 2 minutes and 11 seconds, I simply do a big U-turn and go back up the street and home again.
What’s the point in going further? He’s not interested in exercise. He’s walking EXACTLY the same way as the toddler is.
No one is getting anywhere fast. Or slow, for that matter.
