Flying supper

I’m standing in my semi-finished basement talking to the bestest contractor ever when out of the corner of my eye I see, through the window facing our backyard, this:

What is it? Where did it come from? It certainly looks like a chicken, doesn’t it?

Well, we live in a city of 2.5 million inhabitants. There’s a lot of greenery in this city, parks, the lake within walking distance, and all kinds of wildlife, including racoons.

But chickens? Is it a chicken?

Well, it flew away. I don’t know where it came from and I don’t know how it could have survived this cold snowy night.

I felt sorry for it. I worried about it all night.

Poor thing.

PS  we had spaghetti for supper.
