Well, I highly recommend these for odd-shaped windows like bay windows. They were affordable, easy to install, and look nice.
In this last image you can see on the far left a larger rod along the wire curtain. This rod is used to adjust the tension. Having had these curtains up for a few months now, there is a natural tendency for the curtains to sag a bit over time. That, and the fact that the kids sometimes play behind the curtains, pulling on them. I found that simply adjusting the tension using this rod quickly fixed the sagging issue.

I have one of these curtain wires that was already installed in the apartment that I just moved into, but it has no hooks or hangers. I can see that the ones you have would exactly do the trick. Do you know where I can get them? Thank you.
I got the entire thing, clips and hooks, with the package that included the wire. If you go to any ikea and check the display area where they sell these curtains you should be able to buy the little clips separately.
I’m quite happy with my wires. We installed a second one on a different window now.

can you ever remove the thension rod that is along the wire curtain and place on another wall?
I am not sure what you mean. If you could clarify, I will be happy to answer your question. However, up to this time I have never had to remove any part of it and relocate it to another wall. I do have a second system like this in another room, but I simply purchased a new system. (They are not expensive and they come with so much wire, I always have lots of leftover wires, and clips).

Hello, I wanted to say thank you for such a clear review. I have recently moved into a one bedroom flats and don’t have alot of spare money for furnishings etc. My living room has huge French Doors and additional window pannels (three separate windows to each parallel panel) I have been absolutely dreading searching for fittings,especially since said fittings have to be celling mounted. The Ikea Dignitet system looks like it will be perfect and affordable. Thank you
Well Helen, I had posted this a while ago, and I am very glad to hear that it’s working out for other people. It is many years later and we still have the curtains up the same way as is described in this post. I recommend it, and it’s quite easy to put up. I did it myself without any help (although I had done it before on a smaller window with help, so I was not completely foreign to the how-to of this product). I wish you luck! Ikea has been good for us when we first started out and didn’t have a large budget for decorating. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
